Meet Your Instructor: Dane
Hello! My name is Dane Simms, and my passion for guitar has driven me for over 15 years. With 8 years of teaching experience, my approach to music education centres on continual self-improvement and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with the guitar.From rock and metal to jazz and classical, I’ve immersed myself in a diverse range of music styles. Beyond the classroom, I stay active in the music scene by recording, composing, and sharing guitar content on YouTube. My performance experience spans live shows across Australia, appearances in a film clip, and releases that include an EP, two singles, and a debut album available on Spotify.I am fervently dedicated to my craft, and I bring this enthusiasm to every lesson. I believe in cultivating a fun, motivating environment that encourages students to surpass their limits and excel at their instrument. I am particularly keen on teaching children the value of dedication through music, which I see as an essential life skill.“There’s nothing cooler than helping someone polish their skills and master their instrument,” and I look forward to guiding you on your musical journey at Transcend Guitar School.

Meet Your Instructor: Jamie
Hello! I’m Jamie Simms, and I’ve been passionately playing the guitar for over 14 years, with 5 years dedicated to teaching. My musical journey began at 13, inspired by my brother’s own foray into guitar. A year later, I had my own guitar, and the love for music took hold.Teaching and guiding aspiring musicians of all ages is a joy for me. My extensive practice hours and studies across various genres—jazz, classical, pop, and blues—have deepened my respect for musical diversity and enriched my understanding of how different people learn and respond to music.Teaching children holds a special place in my heart. I believe learning guitar offers incredible benefits, such as boosted confidence, dedication, improved skill set, teamwork, and a valuable creative outlet—key attributes for overcoming the challenges of growing up.
